Eat more anti-inflammatory foods

When your body has inflammation it can become your enemy; contributing to health problems like
heart disease, cancer, diabetes, arthritis, depression, and Alzheimer’s.

“Many experimental studies have shown that components of foods or beverages may have anti-
inflammatory effects,” says Dr. Frank Hu, professor of nutrition and epidemiology in the Department of
Nutrition at the Harvard School of Public Health.

Choosing the right food may help you to reduce inflammation and risk of illness.
If you are an active person like me, that exercises daily I recommend increasing the consumption of
certain foods to prevent inflammation in your body. Here is a list of my favorites:

  • Turmeric
  • Spirulina
  • Matcha green tea
  • Pineapple and blueberries
  • Papaya and coconut
  • Green leafy vegetables like kale.
  • Blueberries
  • Olive oil
  • Salmon or mackerel

Avoid:
Processed and refined food, cheeses and derivates, fried food, sodas, and refined sugar.

“The best anti-inflammatory foods are not in the cabinets they are in the refrigerator”.
